Persona 5 ships over 1.5 million, Concert on Aug 2

The wait was worth it as the Persona 5 team celebrates shipping over 1.5 million copies. A live Persona concert will be held at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama Japan on August 2nd.

If you’re new to the series, it’s a critically acclaimed spinoff of the critically acclaimed Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Persona 4 released way back on the PS2 as well as the incredible Persona 4 Golden for Vita. P5 was originally targeted for PS3 release but stretched to both PS3 and PS4 due to a lengthy development.

The same creative heads have worked on Persona 3, 4, Catherine, and, 5. Very impressive to see in an industry with constant change. This focused creativity has paid off as P5 reviewed very well, with some calling it an early contender for GOTY.
