Mortal Kombat 11 Story Trailer Reveals Three New Fighters

This morning Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm Studios unleashed the Mortal Kombat 11 story trailer. In the trailer we learn that Kronika, who controls the ebb and flow of time, is upset with Raiden for disturbing the balance that she had established in this realm. By defeating Shinnok, Raiden created an irreparable rift in this timeline that can only be mended by restarting time itself. If it sounds like things are going to get messy, well, you’re right. Check out the Mortal Kombat 11 story trailer below:

The trailer also reveals three new fighters: Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, and Erron Black. With these new additions the Mortal Kombat 11 roster swells to 15 fighters, including Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade and Johnny Cage.

NetherRealm Studios provided a little bit of background information about our three newest kombatants:

Cassie Cage, the commander of an elite Special Forces unit and daughter of the iconic duo, Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage, employs her lethal fighting skills to win every battle, with a relentless drive to measure up to her parents’ legacy.”

Jacqui Briggs, a competitive fighter trained in kickboxing and martial arts, follows in the footsteps of her father, Jax Briggs, as a member of the Special Forces. She believes her duty is to protect Earthrealm and her family, no matter the risk.”

Erron Black is a thrill-seeking outlaw hooked on the adrenaline of chasing his own pursuits. Black is a skilled crack shot selling his services to the highest bidder while dressed in classic western Outworld attire.”

If you’re eager to get your hands on Mortal Kombat 11, you’ll want to consider pre-ordering the game. Mortal Kombat 11 will be available starting April 23 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and anyone who pre-orders on Xbox or PlayStation will get access to the beta, which runs March 28-31.
