MadFest Sydney 2019 Is Almost Here: Everything You Need to Know About Australia’s Biggest Anime Expo

Pack your bags, and don’t forget your cosplay gear! MadFest Sydney 2019 kicks off on March 16. The Madman Anime Festival is Australia’s flagship celebration of anime and gaming. This is where the most passionate fandoms in the world converge to commune, learn, play, meet their idols, and party. Trust us when we say that this is one party you won’t want to miss, and it’s not too late to plan your trip.

Don’t sweat the details, because Rogue Travel has everything you need to plan the perfect Madfest weekend. When you book with Rogue, we’ll make sure that your event tickets, accommodations, and schedule are all taken care of. We’ve done the research for you, and all you have to do is show up! Feel free to stick to our recommended itinerary and schedule, or do your own thing — it’s totally up to you.

You’re on your way to the beautiful, historic, harbour city of Sydney. You can look forward to beautiful waterfront scenery, fairy-tale gardens, legendary nightlife, and the most hospitable locals you’ve ever met. It’s a breezy 8-minute walk from your hotel to the convention centre, so you’ll have more than enough free time to play and explore.

Once you make your way into MadFest, the real adventure begins. Mix and mingle with your favorite voice actors, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito, Sword Art Online), Sumire Morohoshi (Emma, The Promised Neverland), and Satoshi Tsuruoka (Fate/Grand Order). Get your hands on the latest hit games from Nintendo and Bandai Namco, and don’t miss the Anisong Extravaganza Saturday night — it’s going to be an unforgettable concert, and an unforgettable night.

If this is your first time attending an anime or gaming expo, don’t sweat it. Rogue sweat all the small stuff already, so you don’t have to. You can also check out our top tips for first-time attendees right here. We hope to see you all at MadFest Sydney 2019!
