Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s PS5 beta will include a playable campaign mission for the first time in series history. Players can try the “Entrenched” level alongside multiplayer content and the new Warzone Resurgence map, Zodiac, according to Push Square’s report.
“Entrenched” Adds a Campaign Preview
Activision’s announcement gives the beta a single-player component rather than limiting the trial to competitive modes. “Entrenched” will be available during both beta phases, allowing players to sample part of the campaign before the full game arrives.
That changes what players can learn from the trial. The beta will offer an early look at the campaign as well as multiplayer maps, modes, and a Warzone Resurgence location. Players who skip the pre-order can still access “Entrenched” during the open phase. The main difference is timing: pre-order customers get the first opportunity to play, while the wider audience receives the expanded trial later.
A Wider Test Before the PS5 Launch
Modern Warfare 4’s beta now covers three distinct parts of the release: campaign, traditional multiplayer, and Warzone Resurgence. That gives prospective players more information before the full PS5 launch on October 23, although the announcement does not confirm any technical targets or additional platforms.
