Mafia 3 gets a free demo and a story expansion

Hanger 13 has now revealed that there’s a free trial of their latest game. The Mafia 3 demo allows players to experience the opening act of the game. Players will be able to play through a bank heist sequence which sets the stage for the rest of the game. Players will be able to see protagonist Lincoln’s history with the mafia and why he starts a vendetta against the Italian Mob.

The free trial for Mafia 3 can now be downloaded for free on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s also been confirmed that players will be able to save their progress and carry it forwards to the full game. As a bonus, Mafia 3 is currently discounted to 50% off until April 17th. This should give players plenty of time to test the game before committing to it.

Faster, Baby!

In other Mafia 3 news, the first major expansion has just been released. “Faster,Baby!” is a car based expansion which has added a range of new cars to the game. In addition to this, players will also be able to throw grenades out of their car window as they drive. The trailer also confirms that players will be able to lay traps in the road which enemies can trigger. As expected, this DLC is also coming with a new story mission where the player must take down a corrupt cop.

This is the first of three expansions which are included in the DLC Season Pass. However, “Faster Baby!” can be bought for $15 by anyone who doesn’t own the Season Pass.
