LawBreakers Open Beta is here

The LawBreakers Open Beta has officially begun. Anyone on PC can now take some time to explore the wonderful and gravity-defiant FPS game. Combat in the game is omni-directional thanks to the gravity-defying zones where all players are weightless. It’s a very different experience to other arena based FPS games. As a result, LawBreakers certainly stands out.

Vertigo is the latest map to be added to this game. It’s a “high altitude” station with near “suborbital elevation”. This map also comes with a new mode called “Uplink” which is similar to Capture the Flag.

It’s been confirmed that there’s a new customization option for Weapon Stickers. This also includes a special “Beta participant” sticker that is earned by completing five matches. This sticker will be permanently linked to the players Steam account. As a result, players will get to retain their sticker once the full game is released. However, the game is currently still in beta.

LawBreakers is currently in the middle of an Open Beta test. There’s no word on whether or not there will be any other tests in the future. However, the developers did confirm that this test has received and extension. Instead of ending on July 3rd the Open Beta will now be ending on July 5th instead. Servers will be closing at 9am PT on that day.

Anyone interested in taking part can find the game on Steam here.

LawBreakers is an arena based FPS game from legendary game designer Cliff Bleszinski. The game will be releasing later this year on August 8th. As confirmed during the PC Gamers show at E3 2017, the full game will not cost 60$. Instead, the developers confirmed that LawBreakers will cost 30$ at launch. This is not surprising as the developers were considering the possibility of making it free-to-play originally.

You can find out more information about LawBreakers on the official website.
