Infinite Warfare Beta Begins Next Month, More MW Remastered Maps Coming

All aboard the Infinite Warfare hype train!

The Call of Duty XP event is going on right now in Los Angeles, and Activision just hosted a special livestreamed event to unveil multiplayer in Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered.

There was a ton of new info regarding multiplayer in Infinite Warfare, but the gist is this: Different combat suits and perk combinations will cater to player styles in more ways than ever before. There are now hundreds of potential weapon loadouts thanks to a new weapon crafting and prototype system. The fluid momentum and movement system from Black Ops 3 has been revamped and refined for Infinite Warfare. It was also revealed that the Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta will begin next month on October 14 on PS4.

We also got our first glimpse of multiplayer in Modern Warfare Remastered, which looks incredible. The short gameplay trailer was full of explosive action, and it seems as though sound effects have been completely overhauled and remastered as well – it sounded fantastic. A special announcement was made that instead of the original 10 multiplayer maps that were stated to be coming to the game, all 16 multiplayer maps will now eventually make it in. The 10 original maps will be available at launch, with the additional 6 coming for free during the holiday season.

PS4 players have something else to look forward to as well. Infinity Ward has put together an exclusive side-game just for PlayStation VR called Jackal Assault. Jackal Assault will be available at launch, for free, for anyone who owns PlayStation VR and Infinite Warfare. There were a ton of other exciting announcements and a great look at Infinite Warfare‘s single-player, so be sure to check it out. Below I’m embedding the multiplayer overview for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
