It’s a big day for Bungie, as they’ve just released an official reveal trailer for Destiny 2, along with a release date, a beta, a PC version, and a Collector’s Edition. Watch the trailer below.

Here’s Bungie’s description of the game:

“Humanity’s last safe city has fallen to an overwhelming invasion force led by Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion. He has stripped the city’s Guardians of their power, and forced the survivors to flee. You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities. To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.”

Destiny 2 is set to launch September 8th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the latter being a big confirmation, as the first game was released only on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. We’ll get to see gameplay for the first time in a livestream on May 18th.

In addition to the release date, Bungie also confirmed an open beta for Destiny 2 arriving sometime this summer. Those who preorder the game will get first access to the beta.

Preorders for multiple editions are available now from several retailers.

Additionally, Destiny 2 will feature DLC’s via an Expansion Pass that includes “Expansion I and Expansion II, offering brand new story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear.”
