Capcom Release New Gameplay Footage for Resident Evil 7

And they’re freaky!

Three new videos have been posted on Capcom’s YouTube channel for the upcoming survival horror game Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Each video features different gameplay footage of the final release. Ethan, who is the Husband of the woman we saw in the trailer released at the Tokyo Game Show is the main protagonist. We see more of the Baker family who live in the mansion Ethan is trapped in. The Baker family were introduced to us in the Beginning Hour demo.

The first video shows Ethan confronted by Jack Baker who goes a little crazy with his shovel. Ethan finds a pistol to defend himself but it’s little resistance for Baker. It seems like a burning car doesn’t do the job either.

The three trailers.

In the second, Ethan picks up the phone to a mysterious woman who says “Did my Daddy give you a hard time?”. We meet Aunt Baker again who’s sitting lifelessly in the corner. She doesn’t say anything. How rude. At this stage the house looks untouched. Ethan then makes his way down the basement and is confronted by monsters and an axe-wielding Jack Baker.

In the final video, we are attacked by Bees. An enemy that we remember from Resident Evil 1. Ethan this time makes his way outside which looks just as abnormal as inside the house. Once back inside we are met by Marguerite Baker who isn’t happy at all to see us. “I told you to stay outta here!!!”

The game looks great! From what we’ve seen so far it will be ridiculously scary but rewarding to explore the house and discover what’s going on with the Baker family and the whereabouts of Ethan’s wife.

The full game is released on January 24 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The demo will be playable for Xbox on December 9th. For those brave enough the game is playable on PS VR. Good luck!

What are you most looking forward to in the game? Let us know in the comments.

Lachlan's passion for gaming started when he played DOS games like Commander Keen and Wacky Races. His passion grew when he discovered his Aunt's Atari 2600 and was given a Game Boy for Christmas from his Pa. His favourite console has been the PlayStation 1. Right now he has become a little lazy with gaming but still enjoys the occasional FIFA session. He hopes to get back into playing games more regularly so he can switch off from the real world like he did as a Kid. He's excited about the introduction of VR and hopes for some great VR titles.
