3 Upcoming Games That Everyone Is Looking Forward To

The last few years have been fantastic for video games, with games such as The Last of Us and God of War selling millions of copies. With some recent success out of the way, what games can gamers look forward to playing next? We will discuss three of the most anticipated titles over the next few years.

Elder Scrolls VI

How can we talk about any upcoming game that everyone is looking forward to without starting with Elder Scrolls VI? It would be fair to say that people have been awaiting the newest Elder Scrolls game for almost a decade after playing enough of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim following its release in 2011. Bethesda has relaunched Skyrim several times on different generations of consoles since it first launched, and all we really know about the newest game is that it is in development. Plot points and even the setting are largely unknown, but it’s fair to say this is the game that most have been looking forward to in recent years, even if it’s looking like it could be far off.

GTA 6

Following the success of GTA V, which launched back in 2013, fans have anticipated its successor’s release for years. One of the reasons that there has been no rush on publisher Rockstar Games from working on it, is that they have been launching plenty of content for GTA V via their online mode, which generates a lot of revenue and allows players to return continuously. This includes all the casino content that has come to the game in recent years. Players could play casino games like they can in Jackpot, an online casino. This included games such as roulette, poker and blackjack.

Rockstar has also been busy working on other games, such as Red Dead Redemption 2, which won game of the year awards for 2018/19. When it launched onto Steam on the PC in 2020, it also won game of the year. Developing this game certainly took away from GTA 6’s development over a short time.

Fans are ready for GTA 6 now. Rumours are circulating that we will have the first female protagonist. There are also plenty of rumours flying around about the setting, with some rumours saying that the game will take place across the US and South America. There are also rumours that you will be able to play in all the classic GTA maps from before, which has fans very excited.

Starfield

We spoke about Bethesda earlier on in this article with their Elder Scrolls series and how far away their sixth installation is. We already have confirmation that Fallout 5, another hotly anticipated game from Bethesda, will launch after Elder Scrolls 6. In the meantime, however, we have Starfield releasing soon.

Starfield, releasing in 2023, was announced a few years ago and sees Bethesda take their RPG style to space. This has excited many fans of the developers, and it is fair to say it is one of the most anticipated titles over the next year or so. We’ve seen very little so far of the game, bar some short gameplay videos, so fans will have to wait and see.
