The Evolution 2017 lineup was announced last month and the final 9th game would be voted for by the community. The voting was run through a charity fundraiser on IndieGoGo however, the voting period is now over.
Here are the top 3:
1st – Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 -$71,690
2nd – Pokken Tournament – $62, 431
3rd – Killer Instinct – $6,116
While Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, the game is the unofficial winner. It’s possible that not all of the money will go through so Pokken Tournament may still have a chance.
Joey Cuellar , the head of Evo, posted a comment on Twitter yesterday to celebrate the end of the fundraiser. He stated that the “unofficial winner” is indeed, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
It looks as though this will be the game joining the other eight confirmed titles at Evo 2017. However, the tournament organizers still need to officially confirm them.
