The developer of the Trine video game series Modus Games has announced that they’re partnering with Publisher Frozenbyte to release Trine 4 in 2019.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Princess will release sometime in 2019 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Fans have been eager for the fourth instalment of the series after a three-year wait since Trine 3. Trine 3 copped some criticism for its use of a 3D environment compared to the beautiful 2d artwork of Trine 1 and 2.
Christina Seelye, CEO of Modus Games said “We are absolutely thrilled to embark on this journey with Frozenbyte… There’s no doubt Trine 4 will be the game players have been asking for.”
“Trine 4 is going to be the best in the series,” told Lauri Hyvärinen, CEO of Frozenbyte. “We have rekindled our love for the franchise, heard and seen the fan feedback, and our hearts are set on exceeding those expectations. Trine is back!”
Further details are yet to be released although you can visit the game’s website and join their mailing list to keep up to date with news. We’ll also let you know of any new announcements!
