Telltale Announces new Wolf Among Us, Batman, and Walking Dead

Telltale Game’s Summer 2017 Update was a doozy! They announced the next installments of three franchises, and the surprise return of Wolf Among Us, after earlier reports claimed it wasn’t happening.

Wolf Among Us Season 2 – 2018

No new information other than the game will return in 2018. The clips shown were from Season 1. They read a few ‘mean tweets’ about fan demand for the game and insinuated the game was returning because of said demand.

They spoke of the commitment to the detective tone of the universe.

Batman Enemy Within – Aug 8th

Episode 1 of 5 will arrive digitally Aug 8th for PS4, XB1, PC, and Mac, with Android and iOS versions to come later. The first episode will be titled ‘Enigma’. Physical copies of the series will be available this October for PS4 and XB1 on the ‘Season Pass Disc’, containing the first episode and download access to the subsequent episodes as they are released.

In Season 2 Batman and Bruce Wayne will have to once again deal with The Riddler, a ‘ruthless Federal Agent’, and of course, The Joker. Expect to make decisions about whom to trust and how far your Bruce Wayne will go into the darkness.

Season 2 will be a standalone story from the first (in case you are jumping in at this point for some reason.)

Walking Dead: Final Season

Clementine is back with a hip new haircut and a lower voice. Melissa Hutchinson has portrayed Clementine’s since the beginning and remarked “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”

The devs in the video didn’t mention any plot details but showed a ton of new footage. One short but revealing shot showed Clementine walking with a baby in her backpack, perhaps taking over Lee’s role as protector.

The final chapter will be out in 2018 on Xbox/PS4/PC/Mac/iOS/Android.

Mathew is a huge fan of Space, Strategy, and Shadowrun (Genesis version is #1). When it comes to games and films, he’d much rather experience a 10/10 classic from yesteryear than a 6/10 modern blandfest. He does feel we’re living in a gaming golden age with the power of indie developers at an all-time high, but wishes AAA publishers would take more risks. Mat believes it’s only a matter of time before the pendulum swings the other way and new ideas take their rightful place above reboots.
