Star Trek: Bridge Crew has been delayed

Ubisoft has just announced that their upcoming VR game Star Trek: Bridge Crew is being delayed again. The game was originally due for release at the end of last year but was delayed until March.

The developer has now announced that Star Trek: Bridge Crew will be released on May 30th instead. No reason for this delay has been provided by Ubisoft.

While Ubisoft hasn’t provided an explanation for the delay, the developer has announced new content for the game.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew has now confirmed that the original series version of the U.S.S. Enterprise will be featured in the game. The game will have an option to serve on the U.S.S. Enterprise as a captain or as a member of the crew. The Ubisoft blog has confirmed that the the ship will be part of the Ongoing Voyages Mode which contains procedurally generated single player and co-op missions.

Previously, Ubisoft had confirmed that that a new ship would be the main focus of the game. This new ship is called the U.S.S. Aegis and was created for the game meaning it’s not featured in any of the TV series or movies. Very few details about this ship are currently available and Ubisoft should reveal more as the release date approaches.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a VR game that allows the player to crew a starship set in the Star Trek universe. The game has been confirmed to feature a single player mode and also co-op where four players can crew the same ship. Exact details on the features in the game are still uncertain but Ubisoft should release more information later this year.

The game is being released for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR on May 30th later this year. We will update you as more news becomes available.
