Skyrim VR is Now Available on PC

In case you’ve been hankering for a sixth copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, it is now available on PC in virtual reality. Until now, only PlayStation VR owners could experience the expansive world of Tamriel in the most immersive way to play the game. Now Steam is rolling out Skyrim VR for PC players, so you can dive into the open world of this iconic RPG yet again — or maybe even for the first time.

Bethesda announced Skyrim VR coming to PC on their official website and with the below trailer. Like Fallout 4 VR, this is the full game but also adapted to HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift.

Skyrim VR contains the complete critically-acclaimed core game as well as all its official add-ons – Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn – in one package. Soon you can experience the breathtaking scale of Skyrim in virtual reality on SteamVR.”

I’ve had a limited experience with Skyrim VR on PS4, and I love experiencing a game I knew so well in virtual reality. I found the controls and bit finicky and the movements a little dizzying, but VR is overall a great way to experience one of the best open world RPG’s out there. Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
