SGDQ 2023

SGDQ 2023 Schedule: Where and What to Watch

SGDQ 2023 is just a few days away, with both viewers and participants eagerly anticipating the start of this seven-day-long speedrunning marathon. As always, Summer Games Done Quick 2023 will be streamed live on Twitch for everyone to watch, with donations being raised for Doctors Without Borders. The event will run from May 28 through June 4, offering over 150 hours of speedrunning content to check out. Every Games Done Quick marathon is packed with awe-inspiring speedruns and wholesome vibes, and judging from the SGDQ 2023 schedule, this year will be no different!

The SGDQ 2023 Schedule is Live!

First things first, if you’re interested in watching the marathon, you can check out the official SGDQ 2023 schedule HERE for quick reference. It’s not uncommon for the schedule to shift around a few minutes once the week starts, so always keep an eye on the schedule in case of any unannounced changes.

If you’re wondering where to watch SGDQ 2023, you can catch it live on either the GDQ Twitch channel or the official Games Done Quick homepage. Most speedrun replays will also be available on the GDQ YouTube channel, usually a few days after their live airing time. So, there are multiple ways to watch SGDQ 2023, but what are the biggest speedruns of the marathon? Let’s take a quick look at the speedruns we can’t wait to watch!

What Speedruns to Watch During SGDQ 2023

Here’s the good news: every speedrun slated on the SGDQ 2023 schedule will likely be worth your attention, especially if you’re a fan of the game. However, there are a few speedruns in specific that we can’t wait to watch, whether because it’s an exciting new game, played by a consistently entertaining runner, or offers something fresh and exciting. I highly, highly recommend you look over the full schedule for yourself, but here are some of the speedruns I can’t wait to watch.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time at AGDQ 2018

Firstly, it’s a big year for The Legend of Zelda, and the SGDQ 2023 schedule reflects that, with six different Zelda speedruns available. I’m particularly excited for A Link Between Worlds Any% speedrun on Monday night and the Majora’s Mask Randomizer run on Wednesday night. Also, it wouldn’t be a GDQ event without a blindfolded speedrun, so you can watch Bubzia blaze through Breath of the Wild late on Saturday night.

In addition to Zelda stuff, there’s an eclectic variety of speedruns that should scratch every type of itch. The Super Mario Maker 2 relay race on Saturday night is bound to be crazy fun, The Elder Scrolls Anthology run on Tuesday will be overflowing with glitches, while the Elden Ring Any% speedrun on Saturday promises to finish the entire game in under 1 hour and 20 minutes without using a single glitch.

I’m also super amped to see more niche genres represented on the SGDQ 2023 schedule, including point ‘n click speedruns like LOOM on Monday morning, Maniac Mansion on Tuesday, and The Curse of Monkey Island on Thursday morning. It’s also great to see some beat ’em up speedruns, like Final Fight 3 and X-Men Arcade on Friday morning.

Don’t Miss Our Coverage of SGDQ 2023!

Just like we did with AGDQ 2023 earlier this year and SGDQ 2022 last year, we will be covering SGDQ 2023 both here on our website and on our Twitter. Each day, we’ll post a brief recap with some of our favorite speedruns from the day, check in with the donations, and celebrate any world records. If you’re unable to keep an eye on the stream, our daily recaps are a great way to see what you missed! Enjoy the marathon!
