On December 26, 2024, 19-year-old Sam Konstas made a sensational Test debut for Australia against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Opening the batting, Konstas scored a rapid 60 runs off 65 balls, reaching his half-century in just 52 deliveries—the third-fastest by an Australian debutant.
