Rocket League Opens First-Ever Player’s Choice Crate Poll

The crazy popular sports game Rocket League is reaching out for player input on their latest update.

Community Manager Devin Connors announced the poll on the game’s official website today. Starting now, players can vote for items included in the upcoming Crate. Crates are special item drops in Rocket League, and they contain exclusive Decals, Wheels, Rocket Trails, and Import Battle-Cars.

The is the first time Psyonix’s Rocket League will host a community poll on game content, and I hope it’s a trend that sticks.

“You can pick your favorite Very Rare Decals, Exotic Wheels, Import Battle-Car, and more!” wrote Connors. “Some of these customization items are old favorites, but we are bringing them to new Battle-Cars and want to put the power in your hands this time!”

The categories of the poll include Very Rare Decals for the Octane ZSR, Dominus GT, Breakout Type-S, and Takumi RX-T. Besides decals, players can also choose from a variety of Import Battle-Cars and Exotic Wheels. Only one decal per vehicle can be chosen, while three Import Battle-Cars and two Exotic Wheels can be selected.

The choices for Import Battle-Cars

In case you don’t know, Rocket League is basically football/soccer with cars instead of people. But there’s so much more to it than that. Take it from the creators themselves.

“A futuristic Sports-Action game, Rocket League, equips players with booster-rigged vehicles that can be crashed into balls for incredible goals or epic saves across multiple, highly-detailed arenas. Using an advanced physics system to simulate realistic interactions, Rocket League relies on mass and momentum to give players a complete sense of intuitive control in this unbelievable, high-octane re-imagining of association football.”

The Player’s Choice Crate poll is open now until February 1st at midnight PST. Vote here!

Rocket League is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
