Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 Plus Syberia Confirmed for Nintendo Switch This Year

Three new Nintendo Switch re-releases have just been announced. Syberia from Microids and Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 are both coming to the Nintendo console this year.

Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2

The official Resident Evil Twitter page posted and update earlier today confirming their release for the Nintendo Switch. We don’t know much about the Switch version of these games such as how the control will work or the prices. However, we do know that they’ll both be releasing on November 28th this year. Making November and even better month for the new console.

Syberia

Developer Microids has confirmed that the first Syberia game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The game will be releasing this year on October 20th. The release date is for both North America and Europe however, there’s no confirmation on an Australian release date just yet.

According to Nintendo Everything, Syberia can be played in TV mode or in the portable handheld mode. Outside of this, the developer hasn’t released any other details on the game leaving it a mystery to Switch owners. Hopefully the developer will reveal more information as the October release date approaches.

In other Switch news, a minor update was released today. Version 3.0.2 brought the Nintendo Switch Online to several countries in South America. Finally giving them official support which is available for free. As expected, this only lasts until the paid online service launches in 2018.

Here are the countries included in today’s online play update:

  • Argentinia
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Peru

In addition to this, “general system stability improvements” have also been made to “enhance the user’s experience”. Nintendo hasn’t clarified what this means in their patch notes so your guess is as good as ours at this point. However, this was only a small update for the Switch so hopefully we’ll be seeing a larger update soon. For now, you can find the patch notes here.
