Resident Evil 7 Biohazard has been leaked online

It looks like Resident Evil 7 has been released early in some parts of the world and spoilers are starting to appear. There are no major spoilers in this article but it does mention the leaked playtime.

The first images of ‘early release’ copies were first revealed online a few day ago. The image from a Twitter user suggested that the game was now being sold early in the UAE.

Since then, a few other claims have sprung up which say that Resident Evil 7 is being sold in a variety of Middle Eastern countries already.

The game isn’t supposed to be released until January 24th so these copies have been on sale for over one week earlier than expected.

Naturally then, the game has been slowly leaked online on NeoGaf, Reddit and even Twitch. Avoiding spoilers isn’t too difficult to do at least and the dedicated Reddit subreddit is being quite strict with spoilers now. Avoiding spoilers is still possible but people are uploading screenshots and videos of the game.

While Capcom hasn’t officially revealed how long the campaign is, several leaks have begun to appear online. The details suggest that the game won’t be as long as players have been hoping for. A screenshot from ThisGenGaming suggests that the normal difficulty level will only take 10 hours to complete.

Other claims about the length of the game suggest it will take 15-20 hours to complete. While Resident Evil 7 might be a short game, it is a reasonable playtime for a horror game. There also seems to be various difficulty levels to replay the game on.

Reports from the early sales suggest that only the Xbox One and PS4 versions are playable. The PC versions of the game require Steam to run and are locked until the release date next week.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is due for release on January 24th. Hopefully, avoiding spoilers won’t be too difficult over the next week but some online communities could be riddled with them.
