QuakeCon 2017 details confirmed

North America’s largest LAN party will be returning for another year. QuakeCon is entering it’s 22nd installment this year and the event is moving to a new location.

The four day gaming event will be hosted at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Texas. This year the massive LAN event will be taking place between August 24th – 27th.

The official blog post by the QuakeCon organizers states that over the years, attendees were able to see exclusive presentations and hands-on demos for different Bethesda games. This year is expected to work in a similar fashion. While there have been no confirmations yet, gamers should expect to see Quake Champions at the event.

Prey is due for release this May so there may also be demos for this game at the event. While there are many speculations about what will be at the event, there has been no confirmations yet.

The location of the event is offering a special rate for attendees. The price will only be $185 per night if people reference QuakeCon 2017 when they book a room. However, the event itself will have free entry over the course of the four day event.

Registation for QuakeCon 2017 should begin very soon through the official website here. Be sure to check the website on a regular basis to find out when the registration forms go live!

In addition to registration, veterans of the event or interested people are able to sign up as volunteers to ensure that QuakeCon 2017 runs smoothly this year. There are a large number of positions available for volunteers to register for and in previous years. While volunteers have been given special rewards in the past, there are no guarantees for this.

Anyone interested in signing up as a volunter can find more information on the official website here. Volunteers will be able to select how much time they wish to give working for the event.

We will update you with more information about QuakeCon 2017 as it becomes available throughout the year.
