Remember when Persona 4 Golden was a cult hit that your Vita-playing hipster cousin and PS2-praising grandfather whispered about? Those days are over as Persona 5 is a bonafide hit, snatching first place on the PS Store this month.
Perhaps the bigger news is how GTA V is STILL near the top! I contributed to this number as a sale price of $30 or $40 felt like the right time to jump in on Rockstar’s latest before Red Dead 2. I have to say it’s an enjoyable mix of old and new. I yearn slightly for the deeper storytelling of IV, but V succeeds as a fun collection of skits.
Also interesting to see Dishonored Definitive Edition on the list and NOT the sequel. Must have been another sale. Even stranger when you consider the Definitive Edition came with Dishonored 2. Keep in mind these are ‘downloads’ and not ‘sales’ so perhaps gamers that bought the sequel are all redeeming the original at the same time.
