Nintendo Switch Gains Eight New Games This Week

Nintendo has consistently been releasing rounds of new games for the hybrid Switch console, and this week is no different. We’re seeing six new titles on the Switch eShop today, with two more games launching tomorrow, September 15th. Read on for all the details.

The biggest Switch release of the week is the annual basketball game from Take 2 Interactive — NBA 2K18. This is the only title on the list seeing both a physical and digital release, both priced at $60. You can also purchase the game’s Legend Edition and Legend Edition Gold, priced at $100 and $150, respectively. Both special editions’ downloads are larger than the Switch’s storage capacity, so you’ll have to buy a microSD card if you want digital copies of those. NBA 2K18 launches tomorrow on the eShop and in stores on October 17th.

Another game hitting the eShop tomorrow is Robonauts, a colorful arcade shooter with the special possibility to switch gravity. Play solo or with a friend as you battle a large variety of enemies in twelve unique planetary systems. Snag it for $13.50 on the Switch eShop September 15th.

Now for all the games available right now on the eShop. There’s the obligatory weekly NeoGeo game, Spin Master, which is a 1993 side-scrolling action game priced at $8. Enjoy with another player and try to work your way up the worldwide online leaderboard.

Other titles launching on the eShop today include 16-bit rougelike Quest of Dungeons ($8), procedurally generated platformer 36 Fragments of Midnight ($3), kingdom-building sim Kingdom: New Lands ($15), off-road kart racing title Beach Buggy Racing ($10), andmeditative parallel puzzle game Semispheres ($10).

There’s lots of new content to experience on your Switch, so load up the eShop and dive on in. Let us know what you think of any of these new titles in the comments below!

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
