Last call for snowball fights and fireworks!

The ever popular Grand Theft Auto V is receiving more fun additions to its online mode, GTA Online. Today is also your last chance for special holiday features!

Be sure to log in to GTA Online today January 2nd to receive your free firework launcher to celebrate the new year! Additionally, today is the last day it will be snowing in Los Santos, so enjoy chucking snowballs at people while the wintery weather lasts. PSA: Press left on the D-pad to add up to nine snowballs to your arsenal then go Buddy the elf on everyone’s ass.

As for new stuff, Rockstar has launched a new bike and gameplay mode. The Pegassi FCR 1000 is available now in GTA Online for you to customize to your heart’s content. “This fully-featured beaut of a bike treads the fine line between old-school, no-frills engineering, and a tight-trousered hipster’s delight.”

The new Adversary Mode is called Vehicle Vendetta. In it, “you can exercise your pent up road rage without concern for LSPD response units.” Compete with other teams for a plethora of power-ups, such as Deadline, which switches you onto the Tron-like Nagasaki Shotaro bike. You can also place bombs, shoot rockets, become a translucent ghost, slow down time, and more with power-ups!

What’s more, Vehicle Vendetta is rewarding players with double GTA$ and RP now through January 17th.

You can also get double GTA$ and RP by competing in GTA’s Stunt Races starting tomorrow January 3rd. Racing Alley will be the new Premium Race, which gives you even more GTA$ and triple RP. Both of these events last until January 16th.

Also available January 3rd through the 16th are some big warehouse, weapon, and armor sales. Check out the complete list of discounts below.

  • 25% more GTA$ on Vehicle Exports
  • 25% off Special Vehicle Warehouse Renovations & Special Cargo Warehouses
  • 50% off Grenade Launcher
  • 25% off Engine Performance Upgrades

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
