Ubisoft has released a new update for their hack-and-slash game For Honor. The update launched earlier today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This update introduces various changes which were heavily requested by the community.
The first new change is the re-admission of the River Fort map. This map was previously removed by Ubisoft last month and the developer has stated that the High Fort map will be returning soon also. According to the patch notes, the High Fort map will be returned “as soon as possible if everything goes well with River Fort”.
In addition to the re-admission of the map, the developer has also made some Steel modifications. Steel is the in-game currency system which is needed to unlock new heroes, outfits and upgrade weapons. Here are the changes:
This is good news for fans of For Honor who have been complaining about how little Steel is earned in the game. In addition to this, Ubisoft has added a compensation package related to the server outage that happened earlier this week. All players have been given a three-day Champion Status so that all players have a chance to earn back their lost steel. Ubisoft has also said that they’re looking into the Faction War rewards which should have gone out last week. The developers “will correct the situation soon”.
The update also arrived with some new customization options for all of the heroes in the game.
Kights: Battlefield Chic
Vikings: Death Ravens
Samurai: Death Blossoms
These new outfits are currently available for purchase from each heroes customization screen.
