Mass Effect: Andromeda has a 10 hour trial

The Mass Effect team have just revealed that EA Access Subscribers will get to play the game early. The offer also extends to Origin Access for PC players.

The Mass Effect: Andromeda trial will be available from March 16th where gamers will get a 10 hour trial. It’s also been confirmed that progress will carry over to the full game when it launches later that month. The game’s Twitter account confirmed this news.

Currently this 10 hour trial is limited to the Xbox One and PC; there is no PlayStation 4 version of the trial. While this is bad news for PS4 owners, a multiplayer beta test could be coming in the near future. It was confirmed in November that the game would have a multiplayer mode and interested players can sign up on the official website here.

It’s currently unknown what platforms the multiplayer beta test will take place on.

Bioware finally announced the release date of Mass Effect: Andromeda at the start of the month. The upcoming sci-fi RPG will be released on March 21st for North America and March 23rd for Europe. The game has been confirmed for release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There has been no word of a Nintendo Switch version of the game.

EA Access

In other EA Access news, two Battlefield games joined the lineup last week and several other games have been confirmed. The company has revealed that the following games will be added later this year.

  • Dead Space: Ignition
  • Madden NFL 17
  • Skate 3
  • Zuma’s Revenge

It’s unclear when these games will be added to the list and the blog post fails to mention support for Origin Access. The official blog post from EA can be found here.

More games are expected to join the EA Access and Origin Access lists later this year.
