We Happy Few is the interesting first person horror game from Compulsion Games. It’s currently in Early Access on PC and Game Preview on Xbox One. However, it looks as though the game will be getting a full release soon enough. The developers has published a blog post on Steam detailing their plans and a full release date.
We Happy Few will be releasing on April 13th next year. While the game is only in ‘early access’ on PC and Xbox One, the PS4 will also be getting the full release version. The final release for the game will be coming with a wide range of new content and changes that players are sure to be excited about.
The biggest of which seems to be addition of a full-length campaign. It features three “moderately terrible” playable characters who have their own reasons for giving up the artificial happiness drug called “Joy”. We don’t have many details on this but the developer is sure to reveal more throughout the remainder of the development process.
As expected, the completed game will be retailing at $60 and there will be a physical edition also. Anyone who pre-orders the game will get a “Jolly Brolly” weapon.
Fans of collector’s editions will be pleased to know that the developers are teaming up with Gearbox Publishing. They will be releasing a limited edition collector’s set with an array of items. However, it will not contain a copy of the game. According to the developer, this is so that Early Access players can also purchase it without getting an extra key. Despite the CE not containing a game key, it will be selling at $150.
Currently the game is available in Early Access at $51 which will increase to $60 at launch next year. If anyone was interested in this game, it’s probably time to pick it up.
