Free Xbox Games with Gold for March Announced

  • February 21, 2018
  • Mischa McGill

Microsoft has announced the titles Xbox Live Gold members will receive for the month of March 2018. The lineup includes the usual four games for Xbox One and Xbox 360 and is led by Superhot and includes more than $69 worth of games. Nice.

Xbox One players can look forward to downloading 2016’s Trials of the Blood Dragon beginning the 1st of March. In this game — a combination of the motorbike racing series Trials and the Far Cry 3 spinoff Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon — players take control of Rex Power Colt’s cybercommando kids as they drive, shoot, swing, and travel through different environments. Trials of the Blood Dragon usually costs $14.99, but Xbox Live Gold subscribers can snag it for free the entire month of March.

Also up for grabs on Xbox One is Superhot, which will go free on March 16th and last until April 15th. Usually $24.99, the well-received first-person shooter presents a unique visual style and innovative gameplay design where time only moves when the player does. Superhot Team’s 2016 breakout title has received a slew of awards, and if you haven’t jumped on the hype train yet, March is your chance.

As for Xbox 360 titles, Microsoft is offering Brave: The Video Game, based on the Disney-Pixar film Brave, which is normally $19.99. The game will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from March 1st through March 15th. For the second half of March, grab Quantum Conundrum, a challenging puzzle-platformer that is $9.99 full price. Both Xbox 360 titles are also playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility.

Before March’s lineup of Xbox Games with Gold games go live, you still have time to download the second half of February’s offerings, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Crazy Taxi.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
