The Nintendo Switch has received yet another game and this week is already shaping up to be incredible for the console. While it’s going to be difficult to beat the release of Splatoon 2 from last week, Fate/Extella is giving it a shot.

Fate/Extella: The Umbra Star is the first of many games to be released this week. The game is now available digitally and in a physical cartridge format for $60. While the game was just released for the Nintendo Switch today, it was released for the PlayStation 4 and Vita earlier this year. In addition to this, a PC version of the game is now available on Steam.

The hack-and-slash game features several version exclusives on the Switch. This version feature over 30 costumes which were originally offered are paid DLC on the PlayStation versions. There’s also an exclusive “Unshackled Bride” outfit for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

As the trailer above shows, the game is filled with hordes of enemies for the player to hack through. The game is a follow-up to Fate/Extra. It’s set after the Holy Grail War and is told from the perspective of three factions fighting for control over a digital realm called SE.RA.PH. It features a brand new battle mechanic called “Moon Crux” which allows the player to transform during combat.

While the game keeps the original Japanese voice acting, it does come with English subtitles. It also has subtitles for Chinese and Korean also.

While Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star is the first major game to be released this week there are several others coming. Players will be able to jump into Overcooked from tomorrow and Friday marks the release of Namco Museum. A game bundle from Namco which also includes the elusive Pac-Man Vs game from the Nintendo GameCube days.
