Bethesda has just announced that their Fallout spin-off game will be coming to Xbox One and Windows 10.

Fallout Shelter is the management game from Bethesda which is set in the Fallout universe. Players take the role of Vault Overseer as they create their own vault and manage the inhabitants.

The game was first released in 2015 for iOS and Android devices. It was also released on PC last year through Bethesda’s own client. Since the release several years ago, Bethesda has released regular updates for the game. This includes new content to expand the quest system and provide the player with more reasons to explore the wasteland that surrounds the vault.

Bethesda has now announced that their popular management game is being released for the Windows 10 store. While this is good news for PC gamers, there’s still no news about a Steam launch for the free-to-play game.

Fallout Shelter will now also be coming to console. The game is finally being released for console later this year. It was confirmed by the Xbox Wire that the management game would be released for the Xbox One.

It has also been confirmed to be included in the Xbox Play Anywhere program. Gamers will be able to switch between the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions seamlessly as progress is retained between both versions. It’s also been confirmed that achievements will also be retained between the game versions.

The Xbox Version of Fallout Shelter has been adjusted to work with the Xbox One controller. As expected, Fallout Shelter is totally free-to-play on the Xbox One and Windows 10 store.

The Xbox Wire blog post reveals that Bethesda will be launching the game next week. Fallout Shelter will be released for Xbox One and Windows 10 on February 7th next week.
