Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition Launches Next Month

Bethesda just confirmed that Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will release next month on September 26th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Return to the Wasteland — or journey out of your vault for the first time — with this expanded edition of the award-winning post-nuclear adventure.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition will come with all the game’s add-ons, modes, and graphical enhancements, as well as the ability to use mods on both PC and consoles. The GOTY Edition did not get a price, but Bethesda said to “be sure to reserve your copy in the upcoming weeks from select digital and physical retailers.”

There’s lots of DLC content in this version that wasn’t available in the base game. The six add-ons that come packaged in are Nuka-World, Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Far Harbor, Wasteland Workshop, and Automatron.

“Winner of more than 200 ‘Best Of’ awards – including the 2016 BAFTA and 2016 D.I.C.E. Game of the Year – Fallout 4 is the studio’s most ambitious game yet,” noted Bethesda. “As the sole survivor of Vault 111, you enter a world destroyed by nuclear war. Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland.”

In addition to Fallout 4, Pip-Boys (pictured above) will be making a return on September 26th. This time Pip-Boys come bundled with the GOTY Edition and will be available only in North America for $99.99 at select retailers.

If you don’t know, a Pip-Boy is an in-game item that holds the player’s information and inventory. Bethesda made a limited quantity of physical replicas that use your smartphone and an app to transfer into real life, wearable Pip-Boys! They were pretty popular when Fallout 4 first released, and they’re likely to be a big hit again next month.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition is coming September 26th to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
