Elden Ring Tarnished Edition launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026. The package includes the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree, giving Nintendo players the complete main adventure in one release.
The edition adds two starting classes, four armour sets and three appearance options for Torrent. Bandai Namco is also offering a separate €4.99 Tarnished Pack for existing PlayStation, Xbox and PC versions, alongside preorder gestures.
What Bandai Namco has not confirmed
Official material does not support the earlier claims of 1080p/60 handheld output, locked 60fps boss fights, a 4K/30 docked mode or adaptive-resolution behaviour. Those statements have been removed.
The new story-focused trailer works as a primer for players entering the Lands Between on Nintendo hardware. It is not a technical performance demonstration.
The real test will be frame pacing and asset streaming in open areas and dense boss encounters. Until capture-based analysis is available, the responsible position is to describe the package rather than invent performance modes.
