The Nintendo Switch has everyone abuzz about new games–first-party, third-party, and indie alike. Lots of games have been rumored to be in development for the new hybrid console, but only a handful of those games have actually been confirmed. Let’s take a look at the games we will 100% for realskies get to play on the Switch.
The highly anticipated new Zelda game was essentially the first game to be confirmed for the Switch. Though it has been reported it won’t be a launch title, we can still look forward to riding Epona across that gorgeous Hyrulean landscape. It was originally announced for the Wii U, but rumor has it development on that version might be cancelled.
Shown off in the Switch trailer, the unnamed Super Mario game looks amazing. We’ve only seen a few seconds of gameplay, but it looks to be in the 3D World style with some awesome new levels. Many sources have said this new Super Mario will be one of the console’s launch titles.
Most likely an updated port of Mario Kart 8, we’ve seen gameplay of this game in the Switch’s reveal trailer. In it, we saw King Boo, who is not playable in the Wii U version. Also, racers are able to hold two items at once instead of the single item we’ve been limited to since the dawn of Mario Kart. Hopefully MK Switch will come with a couple more new characters and some dope new race tracks. *fingers crossed for GBA Bowser’s Castle*
Splatoon is also a likely port, and it was shown in the reveal trailer with new clothing for Inklings and a new map! A better, broader local multiplayer system is hoped for as well.
The popular DQ MMO was confirmed for the Switch by producer Yosuke Saito, as reported by Famitsu and translated by IGN. It’s been out since 2012 on a variety of consoles in Japan but has never made it’s way Westward. Maybe the Switch version will change that?
DQ11: In Search of Departed Time was recently revealed for PS4, 3DS, and Switch. Both the PS4 and 3DS versions look great in their own ways, I can’t wait to see some Switch gameplay.

Playtonic Games recently told the world their colorful platformer Yooka-Laylee is changing development from Wii U to Switch. Playtonic promised more information in early 2017.
From Californian indie developer Any Arts Productions, Seasons of Heaven is one of the first Switch-exclusive games to be revealed. The game is based on a French novel of the same name and follows a boy and his dog (both playable) through a beautiful post-apocalyptic world. No release date has been announced.

GameCube titles are finally getting Virtual Console support on the Switch! This much has been confirmed, and we’re preeetty darn sure we’ll see Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi’s Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee, and Animal Crossing in the lineup.
Plenty of other games have been rumored as Nintendo Switch titles, like Skyrim, a Pokémon Sun and Moon port, Dark Souls 3, and Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+. However, these games have not been officially announced, so we can’t report those as “confirmed” at this time.

WARNING: Seasons of Heaven trailer, it's PC footage..NOT SWITCH GAMEPLAY. Switch will not have the graphics in the video. Devs are in line for a Switch dev kit but they do not have one atm.
False News posted by Nintendo Loyalists. Confirmed the trailer is not the graphics of the Switch, but its running on a high end computer, dont get your hopes up for this game.

No where in the article does it say the trailer footage was made using a switch or a swtich devkit.
The game will likely be Q4 2017 and needs time to be optimized.
