Check out this week’s Nintendo Switch eShop releases

The Nintendo Switch continues to expand its eShop collection of digital games, and this week adds seven new titles into the mix. Read on for the full rundown.

The week’s releases are headlined by Retro City Rampage DX, a remastered port of the 2012 title. It’s an open-world adventure that reimagines 80’s crime games and allows players to rampage the city, steal cars, and play over 60 Story Mode missions. Retro City Rampage DX costs $15 on the Switch eShop. Developer Vblank is also working on the game’s spiritual successor, Shakedown Hawaii, which is coming to the Switch soon.

Of course, an ACA NeoGeo game is among the eShop additions. This time, it’s Aero Fighters 2, a vertical-scrolling aerial shoot-’em-up. It was first released in 1994, and now you can get it on your Switch for $8.

Other new eShop titles include the fast-paced 2D platformer that takes place inside a giant worm’s guts, Slime-san. Previously released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in April, Slime-san will set you back $12. There’s also the colorful arcade Pong-variant Gunbarich ($8), another aerial shoot-’em-up Strikers 1945 ($8), cute puzzle game Puzzle Adventure Blockle ($8), adult party game Use Your Words ($15), and the create-and-play Infinite Minigolf ($15).

In addition to the new releases, one Switch eShop title is on sale. Popular JRPG I Am Setsuna is available for 33% off until August 10th at 8:59 a.m. PT / 11:59 a.m. ET. All listed titles are available only on the Nintendo Switch eShop as digital downloads, so don’t go looking for them in stores, unless you’re looking at other consoles.

Looking ahead, Switch owners will have access to a free demo of Monster Hunter XX next week. Despite the game’s lack of confirmation for a western release, the demo will be available to all regions.

Mischa McGill

Mischa grew up with video games and still has a deep love for many - especially fun, colorful RPGs. Some of her favorites include Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Fantasy Life, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, Civilization V, and Stardew Valley. She loves nights in with her boyfriend cooking Mexican food, watching Studio Ghibli movies, and going head-to-head in their favorite games. Mischa might not beat you in Super Smash Bros, but she owns a replica of Arwen’s sword and Hermione’s wand, so... don’t rub it in too much.
