I love checking out the gaming charts! Unfortunately, the only current ones readily available are UK and physical copy only, but that won’t stop us from having a great time poring over which games make money. Turns out nostalgia and online are the biggest trends going.
The Playstation was a huge deal in the UK, so it’s no surprise that Crash nostalgia would be higher than Big Ben. My review is here for further thoughts.
The Overwatch of top-down racers, World Series utilizes various classes, abilities, ultimates, and even loot boxes!
Battle 6v6, or take bombs into the enemies base, as you control healer ambulances, cloaking spy cars, and a tank playing the role of….tank.
Great idea right? Unfortunately it didn’t come together and sits at 63 on metacritic (3.4 user score if that matters to you).
This was #1 until Crash came to play. I’m happy that Rockstar continues to be successful but am a little worried about the future of their single-player games when online has given them a real-life money code. RDR2 looks to be online focused, traveling the countryside with your friend/posse. That type of online seems to be a big part of gaming future, and I could get behind that. I just don’t want to be sniped by xxx_69_WEEEEEED_xxx.
Brits love racing. Is that racist for me to say?
……Everyone loves Soccer/football!
Another online focused title firmly planted in the top ten. Let’s hope CD Projekt Red doesn’t see these charts! I don’t want Cyberpunk 2077 turned into an MMORPG
Oh boy. The writing is on the wall.
All the DLC plus Battle Mode, a no-brainer for Switch owners.
The Brits love dirt.
Racing and Soccer, just add dirt and you’ve got a #1 every week!
COD has waned, but it’s power is still strong.
I didn’t think this one was great, but if you had the right group of friends, there’s plenty of fun to be had.
An essential purchase. My review here for more.
Lego’s Minecraft attempt was fine, but the combination of kid-appeal will keep it on the charts for months to come.
This could be a grower after the lukewarm reception to its unveiling.
I like seeing classics brought forward, but I’d also love to see a brand new Wipeout! Put that shit in 4K and melt faces.
